David's Triathlon Tribute

to Transplant Brothers

David, donor James and recipient Andy present the cheque

Triathlete David Thomas recently took part in one of the gruelling three-discipline events, raising more than £700 for AKPA in the process. He was swimming, cycling and running in support of brothers James and Andrew Hillyard who recently underwent a living donor kidney transplant at Addenbrooke's.

James and Andrew's father David died from polycystic kidney disease in 1999. All the family support AKPA and greatly appreciate the work they do. Their sister Alison also ran the Great Eastern run to raise money for AKPA. (click here for details.)

The family's efforts and support are much appreciated by AKPA and the money raised will be used for the benefit of kidney patients of Addenbrooke's and the satellite renal units.
